Everyone knows TV is moving online and The Garth Riley Show is no exception. So what does it take to create a show and have it go viral. Is it just another TV show or is it geared to make a difference. “Big ideas, economic gardening, and making a difference” as Garth puts it, all take a lot of work to get off the ground.”  It takes a big team, marketing, sponsors, lights – camera – action …and a whole host of post production and web development people.  Here are a few photographs of the making of the first couple of shows.

Meet the Garth Riley Media team, advisors and producers.  Fred Pelligrino of Avtel Media films the Garth Riley Show in the studio at 1020 Brock Rd. South Unit 108 Pickering ON. Tiffany St-Germaine of On Top Marketing discusses the right look for the show graphics and marketing with Shweta Jani, one of the show producers. Many people are behind the scenes making sure everything gets done in a timely fashion. Breck Stewart of Astor Media Group is heading up the web development portion and the firm of George VandenBerg & Co. Ajax, ON -business strategies. Filming a show is serious business, and a lot of fun at the same time!		One of the first shows taped was Trina Astor-Stewart of Astoria Mills. Trina is shown here with Garth, demonstrating how easy it is to make gluten free bread from the mixes. Everyone on the set enjoyed eating the bread and pizza after the show and were amazed at how good it tasted.

The multi-faceted career of Garth Riley does not stop here!

The man is passionate about helping those who are bullied or ‘stepped on’ in school. Often kids face a far harsher world than adults do without the skills to deal with it.

With Garth Riley as facilitator and presenter for in-school presentations of the ‘Sticks & Stones May Break my Bones’ programs, a fifty-five minute fast paced interactive presentation to students in grades 4 to 12. The mini-course is filled with both humor and workable solutions. Sticks and Stones becomes a fun way to effectively de-escalate bullying before it reaches a critical stage where it can inflict lasting consequences on impressionable children and teens.

The program's name is a take off on an old ditty taught many a child, “Sticks and Stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” The focus of the presentation/mini-course is to teach kids how to cope with and turn around the ‘words’ that actually do hurt and often escalate into physical abuse.

Through instruction in playing with words, highlighting their intrinsic meanings and teaching ways to turn words around to effect a desired positive outcome, Garth gives kids and their teachers valuable insights and actual tools they can use right away.

If more students and teachers had these techniques it would help them maneuver their way through the miasma of the school yard with less trauma for both bully and bullied alike. Positive education and a solution to stop bullying!
