Sit by the waterfront at Newcastle harbour and watch the sail boats go by.

Or if you are sailing in .... dock your boat and take a little side trip. Wilmot Creek Trail Preserve, just a short few minutes walk from the Marina, will provide you with a nice place to stretch your legs. Bond Head is a small, former cottage area and the Village of Newcastle is just north up the road aways, a long wallk, but you can get there and enjoy a nice lunch in the Village.

Take a tour of the Village of Newcastle, in Clarington Ontario - 'Region of Durham' and have a fun and relaxing experience is this historic and still 'quaint'  yet growing place.

People are friendly, and the Village of Newcastle & surrounding countryside in Clarington is a magical place.

What peace awaits
Sitting by the lake
On a mid summer melancholy day.

Feel the breezes wafting free
Upon thy yearning heart, a plea
From thy very soul, and breath  ... for an inner need has been met.

Lakeside Development

Times are changing with new housing developments by Kylemore Communities at Newcastle Harbour. A picturesque area of both condo and single family homes next to Wilmot Nature Area Trails. This development is located just west of the Marina and the public beach area pictured in the panorama of Lake Ontario above.
