Pine Ridge Secondary School students participate in survey and create display for Sustainable Pickering Day

Pine Ridge Secondary School participation portrayed aspects of:
• Proud Of Pickering survey
• Nutrition
• Sustainable Pine Ridge
• I am the Change
• “Trash Fashion” exhibit

 

Paper and Plastic Prom was the theme for the display created by Pine Ridge High School. Students put a lot of effort into their designs and showed a genuine interest in the environment. Although, I'm sure no one actually wore any of the plastic or newsprint creations to the "Prom"  But it did draw attention to how much plastic is used to wrap the things we buy. Plastic causes a major problem for the environment if it is not recycled properly.
