Nancy Dranitsaris, Psychotherapist & Behavioural Change Consultant of Centre For Mindful Therapies was on hand to answer questions about the part our mind plays in helping to relieve stress.

Many Seniors as well as guests enjoyed the displays and workshops.

The Grand opening of Power of Women Exchange & T&E Healthpros Inc.at their new head offices in Whitby Ontario was held on April 10, 2008.

Many POWE members attended and enjoyed the evening of entertainment, wonderful Hors'doeuvre, conversation and congratulatory comments by invited speakers, Margot Weir, Joe Drumm and Lorne Coe at the Ribbon cutting ceremonies.

Healthy Living Fair

Power of Women members join hands to help their communities and worthwhile endeavors. A Healthy LIving Fair was recently held at The Court at Brooklin, 5909 Anderson Street in Brooklin Ontario, a retirement living residence. Admissions went to benefit seniors charities. Several workshops were presented and display tables were set up showing visitors and residents ways to promote healthful and joyful living.

Lia Bandola of Life Lessons Unlimited organized the event and gave a workshop on 'Caring for Aging Parents', an informative session for those wishing to learn more about how to better assist aging parents.

Demonstrations given by Ceragem

Ceragem

Lianne Racioppo of Ceragem Ajax, 230 Harwood Ave. S., (in the Ajax Mall) Ajax, ON (905) 686-1896 demonstrated the unique relaxing massage beds of Ceragem. Seniors and guests enjoyed the opportunity to try out the massage beds first hand. Lianne also invited attendees to visit the Ceragem Ajax location for free trials, Mondays to Saturdays. You could tell by expressions on the faces of those trying the Ceragem beds that they were enjoying the unique experience.

The 'Hands in Demand' table featured many therapeutic treatment products.
