Weir Woodworks
Do you have a piece of furniture tucked away somewhere in your home, a memento of a loved relative, yet hidden away because it is old, beaten up or unsightly.
Most of us have something that we just won't part with and yet we have it hidden away in a corner.
Meda and Brian Weir, of Weir Woodworks, are a couple who found they had just the same problem some years ago. Their work life entailed a great deal of travel and so as a pastime, they decided one way to keep in touch with 'home' was to start repairing their treasures.
So many remarked on the antiques that soon they found they were helping others with their valued furniture and antiques. So now that they are retired in lovely Alberta farm country, they've decided a good way to keep active and busy is to open Weir Woodworks. One of Brian's loves is creating new Solid Oak Furniture and new Cedar outdoor furniture, so this is a big part of the new Weir Woodworks.
